Charles & Minnie Allen

Charles Allen says:

Back in the early 90's (that's the 1990's, I missed the 1890's by 17 years or so), I recorded my life story onto a little cassette recorder. I spoke about my life growing up in Liverpool; my father, the war, my wife, jobs.. you know, just normal life.

I'm just an average working class man and okay, I didn't change the world, but I did make some good music.. and I had a brilliant life, a beautiful wife (who I loved and worshipped from the moment I first saw her), and I've had a lovely daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

After I died a few years ago, my grandson Alan Neilson took those tapes I'd recorded and breathed life into them, adding his wonderful music to my story. Everyone should have one of these done for them; it's flipping beautiful.

So here it is, my life. I did leave a lot out, but you can't, and don't choose to remember everything do you?.
I hope you like it and thanks for listening.
